Soul Abduction
What is a Soul Abduction
Shamans believe that every sexual, emotional, mental or spiritual exploitation or violence leads to a Soul Loss for the victim. But the offender also takes a part of the victim’s soul with them. This is called Soul Abduction.
The reason for this is that the offender wants to have power over the victim. The offender might not be conscious of the soul abduction. This often happens also in abusive relationships. If you give your personal power away to someone else, you risk a loss of your soul.
Children are often victims of Soul Abduction, because they don't have the strength to protect themselves. If a child is constantly sick, then it is probably a victim of a Soul Abduction. This is also often the reason that after a successful Soul Retrieval a lot of illnesses from the childhood come back, and need to be healed.
Soul Abduction can also happen after a breakup, or a divorce, especially when the break up is one sided. The person who desires to stay together, tries to stay energetically connected to the other person, by keeping parts of their soul. This is also not a conscious act.
If a dying person worries a lot about a bereaved person, then it’s possible that the dying person will take a part of the soul of the loved one with them. In this case it’s possible that the bereaved person gets very sick, and will end up following the deceased. Also if the bereaved person can not let go of the deceased, the deceased might not be able to move on in their journey.
The greed and lust for power brings injury, the journey to bring power back on the wings of Spirit brings healing.
The Hunt for a stolen soul
To find a stolen soul, and to bring it back is not always that easy, because the thief believes that his survival depends on the life energy of the other person. The thief often refuses to give back the part of the soul. Sometimes the thief is so entangled with the part of the soul that they can not let go of it. In this case you need to talk to the thief, and you need to explain how damaging it is for the victim.
It is often necessary to offer the thief an exchange for the release of the soul in some form. This can be a gift, like a object of power, a symbol, or maybe the shaman has to find and bring the thief’s power animal as an exchange. This is helpful for the thief, because they can get back their own power, and no longer needs the soul fragment from someone else.
If this still doesn’t help, you can ask your Power Animal or guides to help you. Maybe your guides can distract the thief, or keep hold of them so you can take back the part of the soul. But only do this if nothing else helps. You should not hurt the thief in any form. Be aware that the thief did this because he or she was weak or ignorant. They really believe that they need the part of the soul for their own survival.
After a successful Soul Retrieval you can talk about the Soul Abduction with your friend. Often you will learn that the victim is not angry toward the person who did this, but shows interest in the thief’s wellbeing. This is a sign that the victim and the Thief where deeply and intimately connected with each other. In this case tell your friend that you gave the thief a gift, so that your friend feels at peace about the thief. If your friend still feels incomplete you might need to do another journey to visit the thief, and see what is missing. After this, both of them can go their own way, with their own power.
Did you steal a soul?
It is also possible that you have stolen a soul fragment from someone else. Most of the time you will do this unconsciously. It is so important to remember that nobody should use someone’s soul to regain power, life energy, or love!
To find out if you have done this, you can do this ritual for yourself:
Do a short journey to meet your Power Animal, and ask it if you are in possession of a soul fragment belonging to someone else. Relax and pay attention to see which answer comes on its own: YES or NO. Trust your first thought.
If you find out that you are possessing a soul part from someone else, ask your Power Animal whose soul fragment it is. You might have to journey with your Power Animal again to find this out.
Ritual to give back a soul fragment
When you understand exactly whose soul fragment you have in your possession, take a moment, and simply be aware that you don’t need this soul part anymore.. Let it go free, and send it back to its owner. It doesn't matter if the person is alive or passed away.
Please, stay focused during this ritual. Your Intent to let the soul fragment go must be strong, and come from your heart.
If you feel you need to do more than just letting this soul fragment go, do another journey to ask your Power Animal what you can do to let go of this person’s soul fragment.
Maybe you need to do a ritual. For example:
Get an object that symbolically stands for the person who’s soul part you have stolen. You could also buy something, like a crystal or a stone.
Take this object in your hands and blow the soul fragment of the person into this object. Give this object to the person as a gift. You can send it to them with the post, or give it to them in person.
Also be good to yourself, ask the soul for forgiveness and forgive yourself as well.
There are many other ways of doing a Soul Retrieval, like guided meditations, drumming music, or dancing. It doesn’t matter how you do this exactly. What’s important is to always be clear about your intent, and to let your heart guide you.
When you give a soul fragment back to someone, be good to yourself as well, because we are all in some way energetically connected. Feel the new freedom in your heart! Be aware of any changes in yourself and your surroundings. Do more journeys to look for more parts of other people's souls.
When you give back what doesn’t belong to you, you will be healed as well!
