Meridian Tapping Emotional Freedom Technique: The diagram indicates the tapping points we use:
1. Start by identifying the issue you would like to work on. 2. Rate the intensity of the feeling on a scale of 0 - 10 at the current moment where 10 is the most intense; - fear, anger, sadness etc. 3. Identify a part of your body in which you feel the sensation and associate with the number chosen. 4. Recall the event the first time you felt that feeling. 5. Then by either massaging your "sore spot" or by tapping your "karate chop point", say three times... Even though I have this (insert problem here)______________ , I deeply and completely love and accept myself. 6. Then, tapping on each point approximately 7 times each and starting from the eyebrow point, tap on each point in the order they appear down the body. After the under arm point, finish off the cycle at the top of the head. 7. Do this tapping sequence twice (point 4) using any two fingers along either side of the body - it is not necessary to tap on both sides and it is completely OK to alternate from one side to another. Using two fingers again seems to work in that it increases the chances of targeting the exact point. 8. Once you have done two rounds of tapping, score the intensity of the problem on a scale of 0 - 10. 9. Journal any additional emotions that want to be coming through now as this may open a block and your emotions may need to flow and release old stuck energy now.
The problem could have: Disappeared completely - well done! Reduced in intensity - do more rounds of tapping, adjusting the wording appropriately (e.g. "even though I still feel a bit sad or I have this remaining sadness, I deeply and completely love and accept myself") Changed to something else or in the case of a physical pain, moved to elsewhere in the body (do further rounds of tapping, adjusting the wording appropriately) Increased in intensity - this is relevant feedback and again alter your wording to fit what you are feeling as you do further rounds of tapping.
Did You Know? Just as physics deals with the laws that govern the physical world (such as those of gravity or the properties of waves), metaphysics describes what is beyond physics—the nature and origin of reality itself, the immortal soul, and the existence of a supreme being. Opinions about these metaphysical topics vary widely, since what's being discussed can't be observed or measured or even truly known to exist. So most metaphysical questions are still as far from a final answer as they were when Plato and Aristotle were asking them.
Your body is a mirror of your deep, often unconscious, inner feelings. This law applies to the physical body. Inner feelings are reflected in the way we build our bodies.
If we feel emotionally or sexually vulnerable inside, we may develop a protective layer of fat over our abdomen and hips, as these are the places where we hold our emotions and sexuality.
If at an inner level we feel unlovable, we may build a big chest to protect our heart center. ex: muscle/body builders with muscled chests are often hiding feelings of vulnerability. A woman will unconsciously build a big breast to indicate her need to nurture or to be nurtured.
If we feel deep inside that we must shoulder the responsibility for our family or even the world, we build ourselves big shoulders. If, on the other hand, we have no intention or desire to carry responsibility, we build sloping shoulders that allow burdens to slip off. If you have a pain in the neck, ask yourself, ‘Who or what am I allowing to be a pain in the neck?’ A pain in the backside - ‘Who is the pain in the backside? A pain in the heart - ‘Who am I allowing to hurt me?’ Indigestion - ‘What experience can’t I assimilate or stomach.’ An ache - ‘Who or what am I aching for?’ Unable to hear clearly - ‘What don’t I want to hear’ or ‘Who don’t I want to listen to?’ Stiff hips - ‘How can I change my attitude to moving forward?’ Anything on the right side of the body mirrors attitudes to do with the masculine, men, the future or our career. The left side reflects the feminine aspects, our attitude to women, the past or our home life. Our animals will reflect your inner qualities back to you. If your animals have seemingly different characteristics, each one is representing a part of your personality – that is why it has come into your life. As soon as you are ready to ask for help you are ready to receive it. You are ready to accept the wisdom that goes with it. Then the higher powers will align themselves to help you.
