Natal Chart and Your Lovers

There are some connections that feel very fated. You meet a person and you have a feeling that you have known them for ages. What are some of the past life indicators in synastry? How to know if you have known each other before?

There are some features of the chart that have a strong karmic connection, such as the north node and south node, Saturn, or the Vertex. When someone’s planets touch these points in your chart, you feel that you have been connected to each other before. In my own personal chart, there are many placements that will manifest alignment to karmic lessons to move my soul to its higher purpose.

When you are always trying to seek answers, one must look inside.  Here is a way you can look at your energy or vibration when you were born. In most cases what I will display here are challenges and restrictions to beautiful flowing love. We are love as a whole being but the contracts we make are to release us from our own challenges we place before us. So, in my opinion, these are the challenges we subconsciously manifest until we learn the lesson. As we all have different lessons, and purpose, we can only seek our own placements designed to answer our own destiny. The question is, what is my person mirroring in me? Be grateful, having any is love.  Twinflames are evolved souls and will hold a mirror to who you are completely even your karmic lessons if you are holding on to any of that energy from karmic relationships of the past.  Many get Karmic and twinflame relationships mixed up because of the intensity of the relationships.  Karmic relationships are serving a purpose to resolve your vibration and energy field.  If you do not complete the cycle, another will show up until you do by your manifestations.  We wish we could have what we want, but we vibrate and manifest by what we are.  

To find out if you have indicators of past life relationship in the synastry chart, you primarily have to look to the following elements:

• Vertex
• north node and south node
• the angles: the ascendant and descendant, but also the IC and the Midheaven
• Saturn
• Venus
• the 12th house
• the asteroid Juno
• Chiron

Aspects between these features of the chart reveal a lot of information about your relationship. If these planets and points are emphasized in the synastry chart, chances are that you have dealt with each other before. This might lead to a sense of belonging and having a lot of things in common. This is particularly true in the beginning of the relationship.

The past life indicators in synastry suggest a powerful connection, but it is not necessarily easy. Sometimes you have karmic debt to pay back, and the process can be unpleasant or painful. Karmic relationships in astrology can turn into the biggest challenge you face.

The conjunction is the most powerful aspect, it completely merges the energy of the planets involved. All aspects can be meaningful, but the conjunction is by far the most intense. In synastry, this aspect and the opposition are the most significant.
At the same time, it is important to analyze the entire chart, because one or two aspects are not enough to determine the nature of the relationship. You should look for the whole picture. The maturity level of the two people is just as important when it comes to relating.

Karmic aspects suggest that when you meet, you have a strong feeling that you are supposed to be together. Even if you separate later, you find it hard to get over the relationship. You often go back to each other. Relationships with a karmic flavor are hard to end.

Aspects to the Vertex as Past Life Indicators in Synastry
The Vertex is mostly used in synastry. (Comparison between the horoscopes of two or more people in order to determine their likely compatibility and relationship.)
Aspects to the Vertex are possible past life indicators in synastry. If someone’s planets or angles are conjunct another person’s vertex, there are high chances that you find drawn to each other. Vertex conjunct the ascendant is a frequent synastry aspect in the charts of romantic partners.

It can also happen that there are changes in your love life when the Vertex is triggered in your birth chart by some transiting planet or progression.  Connections between the Vertex and the lunar nodes are also indicators of past life synastry   My vertex is in the 8th house under Cancer.

South Node Aspects as Past Life Indicators in Synastry
There are two lunar nodes in astrology, the north node and the south node. They are opposite each other, this is the nodal axis of the chart. The north node shows your future, the direction you are supposed to go in. The south node, on the other hand, represents your past, where you are coming from.

If someone’s planets, especially the personal planets, such as the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars are conjunct your south node or vice versa, this is a potential indicator that you have past together. These aspects indicate a strong attraction, and you are almost immediately drawn to each other.
Aspects between someone’s nodes and their partner’s ascendant can also be past life indicators in synastry.

Pay attention to the house placement of the nodes, both in your chart and in your partners. The house of the nodes reveals which are the primary life areas where you have past and where you have new lessons to learn. This is particularly important if the seventh house is involved.

Juno as a Past Life Marriage Indicator
Juno is an asteroid. It is named after the wife of Jupiter, the king of gods in Roman mythology. She is the equivalent of the Greek Hera. Juno is associated with marriage and family life. In the natal chart, Juno has a lot to do with your approach to marriage and the kind of spouse you are likely to attract. It is located between Mars (the lover) and Jupiter (the husband).

Aspects to Juno can be past life indicators in synastry, mostly on a romantic level. Pay attention to aspects such as Juno conjunct the ascendant or the descendant, Juno conjunct someone’s personal planets, the Sun, Moon, Venus. The conjunction is the most powerful, but all aspects are significant.

If your Juno falls into your partner’s twelfth house, or theirs into your twelfth house, this is one of the potential past life indicators in synastry.
If someone’s Juno is conjunct your south node or vice versa, this can also be a sign that you have a common past.

Saturn, the Planet of Karma
Saturn is the planet of karma and the past in astrology. It is associated with life lessons, Saturn is the taskmaster of astrology.

If Saturn is emphasized in a synastry chart, the relationship usually holds karmic lessons and a karmic connection. Saturn aspects are strong past life indicators in synastry. To understand the role of Saturn better, look to its sign, house, aspects.
Saturn aspecting the lunar nodes is a particularly powerful karmic aspect. But any Saturn aspect to personal planets makes the past important in the relationship. Saturn conjunct the nodes is very important in synastry.

It is important that Saturn is not an easy planet. It brings restrictions, coldness, frustration. The positive manifestation of Saturn can be longevity and a seriously committed relationship, but it is the best to be careful when you see Saturn in synastry. Particularly if there are few sweet, supportive aspects. Hard aspects from Saturn to personal planets (the conjunction, opposition, square, quincunx, semisquare) can be potential red flags.

As the planet of time and permanence, Saturn often plays an important role in the charts of married couples.
In the birth chart, you are more likely to be involved in karmic relationships if you have your Saturn in the seventh house. The same is true for other challenging planets, such as Pluto for example. Saturn in the fifth house can play out in a similar way. With this placement, your love life usually gets better after your Saturn return.
Karma is of the nature of Saturn: it takes time for the results of your actions to become visible, but sooner or later everything comes back to you. This way, you can learn and grow as a soul. You learn by experiencing the results of your actions, for better or worse.

​Wherever Saturn is found in the natal chart is where you have to face tests and setbacks.  You will need to examine your motives toward those affairs, as in a previous lifetime your attitude to the house affairs has been incorrect. Saturn in the horoscope shows where the greatest challenges are to be found, and the hardest lessons learned. This planet shows where rigid systems restrict growth.

The 12th House and Past Life
The twelfth house is the last house in the chart wheel. Planets in the twelfth house are hidden from you: this house is foggy and mysterious, operating quietly and often without you noticing it. The twelfth house is not easy to understand and to access. In synastry, the twelfth house plays a special role as a karmic house in astrology.

If someone’s planets fall into your twelfth house, these can be past life indicators in synastry. Depending on the nature of the planet here, you need to work through the lessons the relationship brings. The romantic nature of the past relationship is more emphasized which planets such as Venus, Mars, or Lilith in the twelfth house. Juno is also important.  (Juno is in Scorpio in the 12th house in my natal chart) 

Besides synastry, the twelfth house can also be telling when it comes to karmic relationships.  The sixth and the eighth house are also karmic houses. The fourth house is the house of family karma. If your partner’s planets fall into these houses, this can also be an indicator of a karmic relationship in astrology.  The twelfth house is the most significant, however.  Neptune in Scorpion house is my twelfth house.  Neptune in the twelfth house affects the unconscious mind. Sometimes it causes fears and difficulties with problems that spring from the past. These people have the tendency to focus on the wrong side of life. They often display great empathy towards physically or mentally handicapped people. Neptune in the twelfth house suggests people who focus on their own soul and avoid everyday affairs.  Being in Scorpio, gives people great occult abilities and the desire to discover secret spiritual doctrines.

Karmic relationships can be like that, too: they can be both pleasant and supportive or torturing and restrictive. In the natal chart, you can see if someone is likely to give in a good relationship or marriage as a karmic reward, but also if you are likely to choose a spouse who you have difficult karma with.

Karmic Relationships in Astrology
Karmic relationships might sound good at first, but they can easily become a source of suffering in your life. They teach you very important life lessons, which are necessary for the growth of your soul. At the same time, these relationships are often BAD. They are often dysfunctional, and the coldness of Saturn can make the love die quickly.

The nature of the karmic relationships in astrology is not pleasant. Have you ever experienced that in the beginning, things seem to be fine in the relationship, but as time passes, everything starts to deteriorate?
It can happen that there is a karmic relationship in question, especially if there are past life indicators in synastry. It is important to be aware of this, as it can be the first step to getting out of the relationship or fixing your life. If you become aware of it, you can return the debt more quickly and move on.

Karmic relationships don’t have to last forever, and this is a blessing, because they are often very limiting and restrictive (the nature of Saturn). On the other hand, it can happen that you can actually make your existing relationship better. Either way, it is the best to become aware of the dynamics on a conscious level. The sooner you learn the lessons, the sooner you can put an end to the karmic relationships.
The nature of karmic relationships in astrology often kicks in later. When you meet, you are attracted to each other and feel that you have met someone very special. If this is a romantic relationship, the sexual side of it is very strong. There is an incredible chemistry between you.

However, as time passes, the challenging nature of the relationship comes to the surface. Communication often doesn’t work. The relationship is of love-hate type, it lacks the softness and mutual understanding necessary in the long run. You often become bound to each other, for some reason, it seems that it is impossible to get out of the relationship. People who are involved in it often do not recognize the potentially abusive signs.

If we are talking about a romantic relationship that potentially ends with marriage or having children together, after the birth of your child, things often get worse.
Karmic relationships in astrology can influence your life in many ways: some people struggle in their professional life, your health can deteriorate, others have to deal with challenges in their family life. Accepting the hardships and working on paying back the debt can help you find ease and happiness again.

Venus represents love, romance, pleasures. Wherever Venus is found in the natal chart indicates that the house affairs concerned are of importance in the resolving of karmic obligations. It shows in what particular area of life we find love, companionship and partnership, and where we have the strongest and most rewarding emotional contacts.

What does Venus in the Friendship house mean?
Venus placement in the 11th house puts friendship and social networks above all else. These relationship turn into more platonic relationships. These connections are more about community more than the significant other. This placement shows your network of friendship and social groups are likely to develop.  Mine is placed in Libra meaning learning quality over quantity will be a lesson for love.   If Venus is in retrograde at birth, especially in a karmic house (12th or Scorpio influenced) this is usually going over karmic trends. (His is retrograde) With Saturn restricting the joy and happiness because of how others see you, extreme experiences of highs and lows, feeling misunderstood, feeling lonely and something missing in your happiness. You want the real deal and desire a deeper meaningful connection. 

What does Lilith in 5th house mean in the birth chart?
Your Lilith in your birth chart is the traits and patterns you have repressed out of shame and parts of yourself that you need to accept to heal. In accessing your shadow self, you may ‌harness the power of Lilith—unapologetic and confident in herself. 
By understanding your Lilith and doing shadow work, you can embrace self-empowerment.
Lilith here in the 5th house usually affects your love life. It is often a scene of drama and painful experiences. This placement can also manifest as hardships with children. It is one of the more painful Lilith positions in the natal chart. Black moon Lilith is associated with pain, dominance, inferiority/superiority, superficial relationships, infidelities, issues with communications and connections. Usually these are associated with past life vows and contracts.  Lilith represents the shadow self and the house can represent the challenges that have to be resolved to move forward to a better existence.  He has his Lilith in the 5th house and mine is stationed in the 7th.  Both restricting joy, happiness and commitments.  This is typical of tendency to reject relationships with others if the individual cannot play the role of initiator which causes imbalance and dominating and powerless roles.  

The healer Chiron
Chiron is known as the wounded healer, and in the natal chart represents the internal wounds we will have to heal during our lives.  When Chiron is retrograde, time is best spent on healing work and letting go of the old pain. When working with this planet, accepting that you are deeply wounded is essential. The key to becoming whole again stems from accepting that you are not whole.   In the natal chart, the position of Chiron reveals where you were wounded. Badly. It’s the inner pain that tortures over and over, taking decades to heal, if ever. Often, Chiron shows injustice and pain that was caused by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. This purposelessness makes it even worse.

Understanding Chiron in the natal chart helps you find the cure for this pain. 
Often, there is no pre-made remedy, you have to come up with your own solution and synthetize your own cure through experience. However, when you heal yourself, you can heal others suffering from the same pain. In many cases, just sharing your journey and process helps others tremendously.

Chiron retrograde natal shows a tendency to hold on to pain longer than it is necessary for the healing process.  This is usually a past life energy.  This asteroid describes what kind of trauma or conditioning causes suffering in your life. The house and sign of Chiron in your natal chart and if Chiron is retrograde reveal a lot of information about this topic, just like the aspects this asteroid makes with the rest of the chart.

There are many free online birth charts available to do your own research on your placements.  All you need is your birthdate, time and place you were born.  I like doing synastry charts to compare the two as a result.  

When you understand yourself, you will find it easier to understand others.  Self control enables you to handle your contacts more positively.
